Orthonyxis clasp - Top Side Clip
The new TSC nail clasp solves all the problems that previously interfered with clasp treatment or even made it impossible. The Top Side Clip nail clasp is the first nail clasp with a clasp head and is therefore the quickest and easiest nail clasp to apply on the market. It can be used for all forms of ingrown or curled toenails. The two clasp heads are pushed onto the nail from the front. The brace thus solves all the problems that previously interfered with brace treatment or made it completely impossible. The patient immediately feels relief of the nail fold.
Advantages:
- Minimised space requirement - By clasping the nail, only the thickness of the wire is required as space. This is always important when the nail needs to be detached from the skin.
- Inflexibility of the clasp head - Compared to conventional clasps, the Top Side Clip nail clasp has a clasp head instead of an end hook, which can be easily fixed in the working position.
- Self-fixing of the clasp - The clasp head, which clasps the nail, does not give way even under load, so that the clasp cannot bend open and there is no tendency to detach from the nail.
- Horizontal and vertical adjustability - Because the clasp head can be turned horizontally as well as vertically, the TSC nail clasp is able to compensate for particular nail deformities.
- No sharp edges - The clasp ends are rolled up and therefore self-contained. They neither stand up under load nor expose their ends. This means there is no risk of injury.
- Universal mountability - Horizontal and vertical adjustability of the clasp head ensures mountability for nails with extreme protrusions.
- Frontal sliding into the lateral nail fold - The clasp head can be slid and moved into the lateral nail fold from the front. Even under the leaf spring-like tension, the TSC clasp head does not change the space required.
- Spring forces run above the nail - The special shape of the clasp head ensures that the TSC nail clasp always lies only on the nail. This means that even a nail with a curl of more than 180° can be treated.
THE NEW TYPE OF Nail Clasp Head - The problem with conventional nail clasps is that a smooth transition between the nail and skin makes it difficult to use conventional nail clasps with end hooks for ingrown nails, as these can hardly be applied between the skin and nail. For this reason, many doctors still resort to surgery or simply cannot find a podiatrist who is willing to use braces on them.
