The orange STANDARD abrasive caps are manufactured using a modern production process. A new phenol- and formaldehyde-free resin serves as an adhesive, is only applied very thinly and provides an extremely firm hold for the corundum abrasive particles. They are very exposed and are sharper and easier to grip than those of the previous brown abrasive caps.
The STANDARD abrasive cap combines effective abrasive performance with a good grip and sustainability.
All shapes and sizes are available in fine, medium, coarse and super coarse grits. The STANDARD abrasive caps, the STANDARD carriers and the GT SPECIAL carriers (autoclavable) are medical devices. The abrasive caps ensure gentle and injury-free work.
The caps are used as a single-use product. This serves to protect patients to prevent cross-contamination or infection, which is particularly important for high-risk patients such as diabetics.
