DECONTAMAN PRE WASH is an antimicrobial wash lotion for the simultaneous cleansing and decontamination of skin, hands and hair. DECONTAMAN PRE WASH is suitable for pre-operative body washing and hygienic hand washing in accordance with the VAH guideline and EN 1499 as well as for whole-body washing in the case of MRSA contamination or contamination with other multi-resistant gram-negative bacteria (MRGN) such as Acinetobacter baumannii or vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE). Due to its skin-friendly pH value and moisturising properties, DECONTAMAN PRE WASH has very good skin compatibility, which corresponds to that of a caring washing lotion. The use of DECONTAMAN PRE WASH can effectively interrupt the chain of infection from hand to hand during medical and nursing procedures as well as transmission to food during food preparation. DECONTAMAN PRE WASH can be used to cleanse the skin before operations or during long periods of bed rest. The product is free from colourants, fragrances and phenols.
Application areas: For hygienic hand washing in accordance with VAH/EN 1499. For preoperative and antimicrobial body washing in the case of MRSA colonisation and other multi-resistant pathogens such as VRE, ESBL and other MRGN. Especially for use prior to hospitalisation. Suitable for use in food handling and processing.
Application: Hygienic hand washing according to VAH/EN 1499: Moisten hands with 10 ml water, wash with 3 ml DECONTAMAN PRE WASH in the hands for 30 seconds. Then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Full body wash for MRSA contamination: Apply DECONTAMAN PRE WASH directly to moistened skin or a damp sponge or flannel. Thoroughly cleanse the skin. After a contact time of at least 30 seconds, rinse the treated areas thoroughly with clear water.
Instructions for use: Do not use if you have a known intolerance to chlorhexidine and on injured skin. Strictly avoid penetration of the soaking liquid into the inner ear and eyes.
Composition: 100 g solution contains: 4 g D-gluconic acid, compound with N,N-bis(4-chlorophenyl)-3,12-diimino- 2,4,11,13-tetraazatetradecanediamidine (2:1) (CHDG); 1.5 g 2-phenoxyethanol.
Safety and hazard information: Causes serious eye damage. Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTRE/doctor. Avoid release to the environment. Take up spillages.
